Student Council delighted with success of ‘Stratford’s Got Talent’ Show

Cathy Dunne (6th Year), Student Council's Public Relations Officer, goes into detail about all the organisation involved in running a Talent Show. Also, Student Council elections will be taking place this week.

We would like to thank everyone involved especially Ms. Gordon, Ms. Conlon, Shelley Bukspan, Dave McGuinness and our two guests - Suzanne Kane from 4FM and past-pupil Emma West.

Elections will be held this week to reappoint new prefects and Student Council Representatives for the new term of office, starting after the holidays.  (Click on thumbnails to open an enlarged version of image.)

Colaiste Uisce October 2025

On the 22nd of October Stratford’s Second and Sixth years took an exciting trip to Coláiste Uisce in Co. Mayo.

Our days were busy from the moment we woke up till the moment our heads hit the pillows, but every second of it was enjoyed. We partook in many activities, both in and out of the water. The water activities were pier jumping, paddleboarding, swimming and bodyboarding, a favourite amongst the group. On land, we did Archery, climbing, human foosball, life-sized board games and lots of table tennis. After the activities we were all famished, our hunger was erased in an instant as the chefs there prepared delicious meals. Despite the mixed weather we still got into the water. We loved every second of it, but we also loved the hot showers afterwards! In our Irish class we expanded our vocabulary, learning new words for the activities we did, then wrote and performed scripts as Gaeilge that included the new vocabulary.
