NEWS / 16 November 2020

The core theme for this year’s Science Week (9th - 15th November) was "Choosing our future" focusing on how science can improve our lives in the future and in the present.

3rd Years began the week with an online webinar, Gen Zero Waste Workshop, in which they learned about circular economy and investigated the life cycle of a smartphone.

1st Years and 6th Years engaged with a Kahootaire - competing against students nationwide. They also drew a habit they will change to help protect the environment a stuck them on the science notice board. Our slogan is "Change a habit - save our planet".

5th Years performed our first social distanced biology experiment - diffusion and osmosis - this was interesting cleaning glass wear and all apparatus thoroughly.

The TY Biology class helped make all the puns, riddles and quotes which were displayed around the school. They also drew a science collage on the ground outside.

Well done everyone!
