Monday, 23rd May marked the historic visit of American President, Barack Obama to Ireland. Quite a number of Stratford students went to see him in College Green. They recount their experiences of an historic event.
"On Monday, 23rd May I went into College Green to see President Obama. I only saw him on the screen but my Granny and my aunt got right up to the front. They got his autograph and Michelle Obama's as well. It was a very historic and enjoyable experience." (Click on thumbnail to open an enlarged version of photo. ))

"We queued for five hours and still didn't get to see him except on the screen. The atmosphere was incredible with very entertaining people queueing with us."

"We queued for four hours and only got as far as the Central Bank. Both speeches by Taoiseach Enda Kenny and President Obama were fantastic. It's a day that will live with me for the rest of my life. Is féidir linn! Historic!"

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
