BTYSE school hall 24 01 2024
NEWS / 24 January 2024

Today we celebrated the achievements of all our BTYSTE 2024 entrants with a special exhibition in the school hall. Students from all years visited the stands and questioned the teams to find out more about each project, as well as the experience of presenting at Ireland’s most prestigious science and technology exhibition for students.

We also had some exciting news to share about each of our entrants: Joseph and Liam (TY) who won 1st place/Intermediate/Technology/Group & Regeneron special prize for their project - Sienna: Your dynamic AI Voice companion - will be representing Ireland at the International Science & Engineering Fair in Los Angeles later this year.

Blaithnaid (TY) won the BTYSTE 2024 Display Award for her robotics project in the health and wellbeing space.

Ciara (2nd Year) has been invited to attend the eLife exhibition at the end of March (https://elifesciences.org/) . Ciara’s project is an Irish Sign Language translator.

While Ritvik/Hao Wen/Noah (3rd Year) have been invited to enter the UN-UNESCO Young Environmentalists Exhibition (https://ecounesco.ie/) with their AI project on batteries.

Extraordinary results for all, and the whole school is hugely proud.
