Science Week: 2nd and 3rd Year students wowed by NASA astronaut talk

2nd and 3rd Year students went to DIT on Thursday, 17th November, during Science Week to hear NASA astronaut Greg Johnson speak. 3rd Year students, Sadbh Charles, Ciara Harrison and Jill Ivers explain why they thought the talk was inspirational.

NASA Astronaut talk2nd and 3rd Year students went to DIT on Thursday, 17th November, during Science Week to hear NASA astronaut Greg Johnson speak about his experience onboard the Space Shuttle to the International Space Station with NASA Astronaut Greg Johnson. 3rd Year students, Sadbh Charles, Ciara Harrison and Jill Ivers said that the talk was "inspirational because the astronaut showed us a video that he took of his team when he was up in space. We also saw the space station in the video and the astronauts doing 'Ironman' impressions!". (Click on thumbnail to open an enlarged version of image.)

Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week, including walks, workshops, cultural events, sports, and wellbeing challenges.
