Two Stratford students reach the Junior Semi-Finals
In October , Jill Ivers (2nd Year), Alice Murphy (3rd Year) and Diarmaid Kelly (3rd Year) attended the Poetry Aloud competition in The National Library of Ireland. In the Junior category, the competitors had to reciteThe Stolen Child by W.B. Yeats and also a poem of their choice. Only three competitors were chosen to go into the semi- finals and two came from Stratford College—Diarmaid Kelly and myself. The semi-finals will be on Friday, 3rd December.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.

Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week, including walks, workshops, cultural events, sports, and wellbeing challenges.
