Comhghairdeas! Last Wednesday 26th January our Senior and Junior Irish debaters performed brilliantly and both groups secured a spot in the next round of the Comórtas Díospóireachta an Phiarsaigh.
Our Junior Team (Caoimhe Acres, Elizabeth O'Neill and Devlin Murphy) were in favour of the motion 'Is fiú ár gcuid laethanta saoire a chaitheamh in Éirinn - It's worthwhile spending our holidays in Ireland'.
Our Senior Team (Ayush Tambde, Jonah Miller and Seán Noonon) argued against the motion 'Tá go leor béime ar chúrsaí aclaíochta agus folláine sa churaclaim scoile - There is a lot of emphasis on activity and wellbeing in the school curriculum.'
Táímid an-bhrodúil as an éacht mór atá déanta ag an dá fhoireann agus táímid ag tnúth go mór leis an gcéad bhabhta eile. Ádh mór oraibh!

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
On Thursday 21st May, Ms Donohoe, Ms McGill and the 3rd Year Classics students walked to nearby Ely Arch beside the River Dodder. As part of Junior Cycle Classics, students have to compare a building in their local area with a building in Rome.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous (and acrobatic) play! The Teachers came out victorious.
