The 3rd Year Jewish Studies class describe their recent visit to the Irish Jewish Museum in late September.

Irish Jewish MuseumIrish Jewish MuseumThe Bretzel BakeryOn Monday, 26th September, the Junior Jewish studies classes and the TY went on a trip to the Irish Jewish Museum in Portobello. We were accompanied by Ms Charry, Mrs Etzioni and Mrs Walsh. After a brief introduction about the synagogue by Ms Charry we were given the chance to look around the museum. Many Jewish students saw pictures of their relatives. There are lots of interesting artefacts with a fully equipped kosher kitchen, set up in the style of the 1940s. After the museum we went to the Bretzel Bakery, the only kosher bakery in Ireland. (Click on thumbnails to open an enlarged version of photo.)
