Congratulations to Diarmaid Kelly who reached the semi-finals of the Poetry Aloud competition on Tuesday, 23rd October.
On Tuesday October 23rd, Evan Matthews, Ethan Brady Arnold, Sean Lysaght and Diarmaid Kelly competed in the regional of Poetry Aloud, held in the National Library of Ireland. Congratulations to Diarmaid Kelly who secured a place in the semi-final with his outstanding performance of Heaney's 'Postscript'. On leaving the library Sean Lysaght remarked, 'I'm glad I did it, as now I have two poems committed to memory'. His comment reminded me of the purpose of our participation - to provide the students with an opportunity to commit to memory the best of what has been thought and written.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.

Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week, including walks, workshops, cultural events, sports, and wellbeing challenges.
