Chemistry students receive Marsh’s Library prize from Junior Minister for European Affairs

On Wednesday, 11th September Paschal Donoghue, Minister of State for European Affairs, presented Ms. McCarthy and her Chemistry students, Michael Lawlor-Rojas and Rachel Jones with a prize of €500 for winning the 'Curious Experiments' video competition earlier in the year.

On Wednesday, 11th September, our 6th Year Chemistry class, Ms. Gordon and Ms. McCarthy went to Marsh's Library to receive our prize for winning the 'Curious Experiments' competition. The people there were very welcoming and presented each schoool that participated with Certificates of Participation and posters of their current exhibition. Note: this poster for the Exquisite and Rare Exhibition is currently on display in the Library.

Paschal Donoghue, Minister of State for European Affairs, was also present and gave a talk, congratulating all who took part. Finally, at the end, Ms. McCarthy was presented with a €500 cheque for the Chemistry Lab. as our prize.  Overall, it was a lovely afternoon and we all enjoyed it.
