From 4pm to 7pm on Bloomsday, Tuesday 16th June, the Rathgar Business Association and Dublin City Council will be supporting events to celebrate this world renowned day and the highlight that Rathgar is the birthplace of the author of Ullysses.

Celebrate Bloomsday in Rathgar Village from 4pm to 7pm - birthplace of James Joyce. Events include:

  • Dress up and join the fun in your village!
  • A troupe of actors will perform 7 mini-scenes in different venues in the village from 4.30pm.
  • Readings from Ulysses at The Rathgar Bookshop and The Vintry
  • Wine and gorgonzola at The Vintry around 6pm
  • Recital at The Piano Academy - Terenure Road East at 7pm
  • Lemon tarts served at The Butlers Pantry
  • Light refreshments at 99B all afternoon
  • Special Bloomsday menus
  • And lots more!

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
