Andrew Enright (3rd Year) explains the amount of work that went into the 3rd Year CSPE Action project. From organising raffles, to inviting guest speaker Debbie Deegan from the charity "To Russia with Love", to putting up posters, the 3rd Year class learned how to work together as a whole.

Hello, it’s me again, Andrew Enright. Now that everything is coming to a close for our CSPE action project, the only thing left to do is to tell you about what it was like working on it.

I have been writing these pieces of information for the Stratford College website, as well as organising the raffle and also putting up posters around the school. Everyone in the class had a job to do, and they all did their jobs very well.

Have you noticed our posters scattered around the corridors? That was the work of our poster committee, Svetlana Cvetic, Jessica Nelkin, Nicole Lawlor and me, Andrew Enright. We would like to thank Ms. Mahon for letting us use her computer to make the posters. I also helped out with the selling of raffle tickets. Rory Murphy, Svetlana Cvetic, Jessica Nelkin and I went to all of the classes to sell tickets, and we were very happy with the amount sold, and the amount of money we managed to raise for the charity.

Other committees included the people who set up the hall, the people who organised the dates and guest speaker, the people who took care of the money and the people who welcomed our guest speaker, Debbie Deegan. We all put a lot of effort into this project, and we are pleased and proud of the outcome. Working together as a class group really brought us together. We all pitched in ideas at the start, and we all helped each other out when organising everything and putting our plans into action. We would like to give out a big thank you to Ms. Kenny, our CSPE teacher for guiding and advising us throughout our project, and for giving us that little push forward when we needed it.

I think this project not only helped out the children in Russia being looked after by To Russia with Love, but it also showed us how to work together as one. Although we were set up in different committees, we always worked together.

I very much enjoyed working on this project, and working with the class. To those who will be doing their CSPE action projects in the future, (current 2nd years in mind) I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Before I sign off one last time, I’d just like to give out one more thank you to all of those who helped out, and to all the kind people who gave in donations. To Russia with Love is a wonderful charity, and can always use the kind of support the kind students of Stratford College gave them. Well done, everyone! (Click on blog title to see more photos.)
