The annual L.C.V.P. Table Quiz held on the last day of the winter term had an animal dress-up dimension added to it by the enterprising 3rd Year CSPE students. Approximately €500 was raised for Barretstown and the DSPCA. Well done to Table 5 who won the quiz!
The 5th year L.C.V.P. Table Quiz in aid of Barretstown Childrens’ Care Centre took place on Friday, 20th of December. The 13 teams were made up of a mix of students and teachers and the quiz was fiercely contested. A raffle was also held to raise as much money as possible and we had a fantastic hamper kindly donated by Ms Colette Malone from Avoca. Team 5 (Ms. Gordon, Ms. Kenny, Andrew Enright, Rory O’ Neill, Kara Stein, Kate Dempsey, Chad Greenblatt, Gina Cohen and Bogdan Dumitru) were the eventual winners of the quiz with 48 points. Ryo Ito was the lucky winner of the hamper from Avoca. Thanks to all staff and students for their support and for helping us raise over €240 for Barretstown Childrens’ Care Centre. As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.

Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week, including walks, workshops, cultural events, sports, and wellbeing challenges.
