Ms. Finnegan spoke at a school assembly in the first weeks of the new term to explain how important it is for everyone to take part in sport and PE in school and how it is significant for everyone's wellbeing. Read through the list of after school sports activities which are now all started.
The list of after school sports activities are as follows for this term:
Sport and PE play a significant role towards Wellbeing in school life. When taking part we want our students to have fun, enjoyment and the opportunity to get fit, build friendships and learn how to work together. Being part of a team and feeling connected to school, tines in with our wellbeing theme.
While taking part in one or more sport is mandatory, my wish is that you take part because you want to and because you have to! With this in mind there is a variety of both team sports and individual sports, so you can participate in a sport you enjoy, with the hope you will continue them into adult life.
I am also very excited to have a new basketball coach as Nate returned to Australia over the summer. Our new coach is Garny. He is from Spain and has coached in Academy's in Spain. He is a professional basketball player.
