6th Years get a talk on the Irish voting system and the upcoming General Election

Ms. Kenny described the Irish voting system to 6th Years - the newest generation of voters in the Irish General Election, 25th February 2011.

Irish Government BuildingsWhile most of 6th Years were on the Classics Trip to Rome, the remainder of the 6th Year students, as the newest generation of young Irish voters, were treated to a talk on the voting system by Ms. Kenny on Wednesday, 23rd February. Our new knowledge of Ireland's Proportional Representation Voting System allows us to have our say in the upcoming election and for our voices to be heard for the first time regarding politics in Ireland.

The TYs have been really busy throughout March! Every Friday they've been going to the BLOC Climbing Centre near Tallaght, a number of students visit Orwell Lodge Nursing Home every Tuesday at lunch, a field trip to the Incinerator in Sandymount with Ms Skehan, completed a Kinia Paired Reading training morning, attended a Women in STEM talk when past-pupil Olivia Foley returned to Stratford and more! Plus the very cool TY 2025-2026 hoodies arrived - thanks Mr Eppel!
