Alice Murphy (6th Year) describes the importance of hearing Ronan Fanning's argument that the Irish War of Independence and the partition of Ireland was inevitable on Wednesday, 6th November.
On Wednesday, 6th November, Ms. Kenny and a number of 6th Year History students attended a lecture given by the emminent historian Ronan Fanning in Alexandra College. Mr. Fanning presented the argument that the Irish War of Independence 1919-21 was inevitable, as was the partition of Ireland.
It was brilliant revision for the Leaving Cert. history topic 'Sovereignty and Partition' and I think that I speak for us all when I say that we can't wait to peruse his latest publication "Fatal Path" in the Library.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
