Bhí masc ar gach ceann de na haisteoirí, seachas an phríomhcharactar Máire, rud a léiríonn an cur i gcéill a bhí igceist leis an Eaglais Chatlaiceach ag an am. Teánn Máire in eadán an choráis se trí leanbh a bheith aici taobh amuigh den phósadh agus bíonn daor uirthi mar gheall air seo. The 6th Year Honours class went to the Irish play, "An Triail", on Tuesday, 11th October 2011. The play is set in Christian Ireland in 1963. All the characters wore masks with the exception of Máire. This was a symbolism of people playing to the act that the Catholic Church was a caring and forgiving system. Máire rebels to this system by having and raising an "illegitimate child". Over I enjoyed "An Triail" and felt it really helped me with the insight of this play.

Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!

Well done to the Stratford College Chess team who reached the Libermann Cup Finals to play against Coláiste Eanna on Monday 11th May. This is the first time that the Chess team has reached the finals. While it proved to be challenging with Coláiste Eanna showing great experience and ultimately winning out, the Stratford chess team are determined to be back next year!
