6th Year Biology students dissect sheeps’ hearts

On Tuesday, 21st January the 6th Year Leaving Certificate Biology students dissected a sheep's heart during a lab. Gabi Eppel and Abi Grainger informed Ms. O'Kelly on what actually happened!

On Tuesday, 21st January the 6th Year Leaving Certificate Biology students dissected a sheep's heart during a lab. Gabi Eppel and Abi Grainger informed Ms. O'Kelly on what actually happened!

"Each student got a sheep's heart to dissect so that we could observe it. For example, we put water into one of the valves and we were able to watch the heart pump the water! The blood clots were so gross though..."

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
