6th Year Biology Students carry out 6 Biology Practicals in Maynooth

NEWS / 24 January 2011

On Thursday, 20th January, 6th Year Biology Students investigate the influence of light intensity on the rate of photosynthesis amongst other practicals when they visited Maynooth

6th Year Practical Biology MaynoothOn the 20th of January, the 6th Year Biology class went to Maynooth to carry out 6 different practicals that were relevant to the Leaving Certificate course.  This included investigating the influence of light intensity or carbon dioxide on the rate of photosynthesis, along with 5 other experiments.

The trip in itself was both fun and enjoyable along with the educational side of it. I really enjoyed myself as the lecturers that were teaching us made doing the practicals fun, making it easy to learn everything as we were going along. Overall the day was really good and I would recommend next year’s 6th Years to go. (Click on a thumbnail to open an enlarged version of a photo.)
