Sarah O'Neill (5th Year) describes the range of Irish music that the 5th Year music class are studying as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.
5th Year music class are studying Irish music to coincide with Seachtain na Gaeilge.We have learned about the traditional and non-traditional instruments and features of Irish music. We individually chose an Irish topic to research. Some titles include U2 as an Irish band, the harping tradition, the Collectors of Irish music, Irish dances and Irish instruments. Ms.Conlon is accompanying the 1st and 2nd years as they prepare their exciting repetoire. We as a 5th Year group cannot wait for their performance. It will also enhance our learning experience of Irish music.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
