On Thursday, 19th January the 3rd Year CSPE class invited a guest speaker from the Irish Defence Forces to speak to them as part of their Action Project. Ross Smith and Hannah Flynn go into detail about the talk.

As part of our 3rd Year CSPE Action Project, we had Lieutenant C. Whelan from the Irish Defence Forces visit us on Thursday, 19th January as a guest speaker. He started off by talking about the history of the Irish Defence Forces and as he had a degree in History and Psychology this was very interesting. The he went on to talk about the various roles that are in the Defence Forces. There are loads from a Naval Officer to an Army Chief. Last but by no means least he talked about peace keeping abroad and the refugee crisis.

The Irish Defence Forces missions work on Peace Keeping abroad all of the time. We immensely enjoyed the morning with the Lieutenant Whelan and on behalf of the class we can't thank him enough.
