3rd Year CSPE class organise successful raffle at the Awards Ceremony

NEWS / 21 November 2011

Jill Ivers (3rd Year) explains what was involved in organising a raffle to fundraise for user-friendly bins. This work is part of the 3rd Year CSPE Environment Action Project.

3rd Year CSPE RaffleCSPE Raffle 2011During the Awards Ceremony on Friday, 28th October, the 3rd Year CSPE class hosted a raffle. We had a wide range of prizes, ranging from the top prize (an Avoca hamper) to eatery and cinema vouchers, bus passes, bottles of Fanta and more. It was a great success as every raffle ticket was sold.

We had the fundraiser to raise money to purchase user-friendly bins for the hall of our school. This, we hope, will encourage students to be more aware of which bin to dispose their rubbish in, and, therefore lower the number of black bags the school produces each week. This is our aim for our Junior Certificate CSPE project.

We raised a total of €723 from the raffle.
