NEWS / 9 April 2018

Congratulations to Josh Wynne, a 2nd Year student, who with a group from his coding club came second place in a competition organised for the 'Internet of Things 4 Food' conference in UCD at the end of March.

Josh explained to Ms O'Kelly what was involved in the project:

"It took four of us about two months to prepare our project for the 'Internet of Things 4 Food' competition. The aim of the project was to integrate agriculture and technology.  We made a game to raise awareness of food waste. We used Java Process to code our project. There were 32 groups in this national competition, so coming 2nd was great! We had to present our project on Thursday, 22nd March and then on the Friday we attended a lecture. For coming second we each won an Arduino kit - it's cool!"
