Some of the second years ended term with a Roman dinner party. Having just studied Topic 9 on the Junior Cert course (Pompeii) we decided to honour our ancient friends by hosting our own ancient/modern Roman dinner party.
The festive occasion took place on Friday 24th April. Each student had taken on a different job. I was delighted that they focused on dessert more than savoury courses. Some of the treats included Moya’s divine Eton Mess, Evan’s delicious chocolate cake and Isabelle’s chocolate strawberries. The pictures give a flavour of how successful the event was. One of the funniest moments was watching Isabelle, Niall and Evan taste olives for the first time. Well done to all those who participated, especially Edward who did a super job setting up the class before everyone arrived and transforming the Classics room for party.
