1st Year student and member of the winning company, Laura Kelly, explains what she and her classmates did to win the Social Media Award on Thursday, 12th March at Dublin Castle.

Our business company was called "The Reusers". Our product was the re-cover. We made hard covers from old unwanted fabrics. We sewed a folder inside to protect it and also to keep it water resistant.

We went to the Student Enterprise Awards for the Dublin City Finals in Dublin Castle on Thursday, 12th March. We won the overall Social Media Award. It was such an honour to hear our group name being called out and being given  a plaque on stage. I was also very privileged to be given the award by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton and the Deputy Lord Mayor.

It was such an amazing achievement that I will always remember.

Laura Kelly, Oonagh Delargy, Phelim McDevitt, Rory Glynn and Aidan Mulligan were the 1st Year students in the "The Reusers" mini-company. Thanks to Ms. Brouder for organising everything.
