Stratford College marks National Mental Health Day
On Wednesday, October the 10th students and staff marked National Mental Health Day, a significant occasion to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and well being.
Read more →Students in 1Y presented their personal historical objects to Ms Kenny and their classmates in History class on Thursday, 5th September. The range and stories behind each of the objects was spellbinding!
There was an oxygen mask from World War I, a Sony Walkman from the 1980's, a signed programme by some of the Irish soccer team in 1989, a wikipedia page about Fergus Quinn who arrested Jim Larkin in 1913, a beautiful dress watch from the 1970's and stories about a family relative fighting for the RAF in World War II.
There was also an engagement ring, a beautiful silk scarf, a toy airplane, photographs and a model of a Terracotta Soldier from China. It was an extraordinary History class with fascinating stories.
