So impressed were TY and 5th Year History students with the play 'PALS' in Collins Barracks, that 1st and 2nd Year History students went to see it on Wednesday, 29th April. Jakob Miller in 1st Year, describes the experience of understanding the Irish 7th Battalion fighting in Gallipoli in World War 1.

On Wednesday, April 29th, first year and second year went to Collins Barracks to see the play 'PALS', about an Irish 7th Battalion of friends who went to war during the battle of Gallipoli during WW1. It showed us some of the effects of war, like PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and how it affected the soldiers. After the play, we looked around the museum there, and we saw soldiers uniforms, weapons, and much more. It was a great experience, and I would love to go again. In March, TY students and 5th Year History students also visited 'PALS', which they too enjoyed.
