NEWS / 9 January 2015

On Thursday, 8th January, 1st to 3rd Year students visited the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS. A number of 1st Year students express their highlight of the visit.

My favourite thing at the Science Exhibition was the Infinity Tunnel because the Infinity Tunnel has this type of mirror window that makes it look like a never ending hole; but isn't. It was a dropping well but with technology.
Aidan Mulligan, 1st Year

My thing about the Young Scientist Competition was the Rubik's cube robot. It was able to complete what ever way you jumbled it up in less than a minute. We met Ryan Tubridy.

My favourite part of the BT Young Scientist Exhibition were all the stands, especially the ones with the illusions and the astronaut guy with freeze dried food. Another thing I enjoyed was a stand with the company that makes Sellotape and Pritt Stick. They had a mannequin stuck to the roof over the stall that was stuck on with only one drop of superglue. I also liked getting all the free items. It was a very fun morning and I would be happy to go again.

A number of Stratford students were caught on RTE's cameras and footage was broadcast on Thursday, 9th January!
