Annual Awards Ceremony, 11th October 2024

The Annual Awards Ceremony took place on the 11th October, expertly led and organised by Ms. Talbot and the Student Council. We welcomed back so many of the Class of 2024, who along with current students, were the recipients of numerous awards and accolades.

Stratford College selected as Phase 1 school for Leaving Certificate Drama, Film and Theatre Studies

In mid-May Stratford College was successful in its application to be a Phase One school to introduce Leaving Certificate Drama, Film and Theatre Studies (DFTS) from the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.

5th Years receive their awards for The Mary Elmes Prize in Holocaust Studies

Congratulations to 5th Year students, Sonny who was awarded 3rd place in the History Category and to Gali awarded who was awarded 3rd place in the Art Category in the Mary Elmes Prize Competition. (May 2024)

1st Year Business students compete in National Finals of Students Enterprise Program

"Slobber Stopper" was the product created by 1st year Business students - Eli, Vihaan, Roberto, Matthew and Christian - which made it to the Junior Category of the National Finals of the Students Enterprise Program in Mullingar on Thursday 9th May 2024.

SciFest@College 2024: TY group come 2nd in Intermediate Technology category

Well done to TY students Kaydi, Amelie and Bláithnáid who came 2nd in the Intermediate Technology category with their "Save the Fishes" game (coded in Scratch) to highlight this issue. Two TY groups competed at the SciFest@College competition in TU Dublin (Blanchardstown) on Wednesday 1st May 2024.

Congratulations to Aaron, Johny and Tomer who exhibited their Scratch game to judges.

13 Stratford students compete in 2024 Bebras National Finals

Stratford had 13 students competing in the 2024 Bebras (Computational Thinking) National Finals in Maynooth University in two age categories: 12-14 and 14-16.

12-14 years: Lucy, Isla, Colin, Sanket, Callum, Daniil, Davi, Ritvik, Ugo, Conor, Louis, Nino

14-16 years:  Joseph

U15 Girls basketball team reach semi's and U15 Boys Basketball team reach finals

A phenomenal run by our under 15 girls saw us lose out to Na Pearsaigh in the semi-finals 34-18. 

The under 15 boys saw off a determined Harold's Cross team to reach the boys final.

Centennial Award Classical Association of Ireland

Congratulations to Hazel Goddard (2023), who was presented with the Centennial Award for being one of four who achieved the highest marks in Classical Studies in the Leaving Certificate Examination 2023. Congratulations also to her Classical Studies teacher Ms Delia Donohoe.

Hazel is now studying Classics in TCD and was recently awarded an Entrance Exhibition on the basis of her Leaving Certificate Results 2023.

Three 3rd years reach semi-finals of Young Environmentalist Awards (ECO-UNESCO)

3rd Year students - Hao Wen, Ritvik and Noah - were invited to compete in the semi-finals of the Young Environmentalist Awards organised by ECO-UNESCO on 12th March 2024.
