NEWS / 4 March 2015

On Tuesday, 3rd March the TY class spent a day with the Sky Sports Living for Sports mentor, Aoife McDermott who represents Ireland in basketball. Moya Richardson McCrea reports on the day.

On Tuesday, 3rd March we had a guest in from Sky Sports Living for Sports - Aoife McDermott - Ireland's number 1 female basketball player at the moment - and was the representative that came to talk to us for Sky Sports.

She told us the six keys for success:

  1. mental toughness
  2. hunger to achieve
  3. people skills
  4. sports and life knowledge
  5. breaking barriers
  6. planning for success

We played different activities to test our skills in each of these areas. It was an interesting and rewarding day.
