NEWS / 21 November 2011

Olivia Bagnall (6th Year) outlines the good deeds that are being done on 24th November by students for Mitzvah Day.

Focus Ireland logoSocial Action Week (Mitzvah Day) is a new day of good deed being marked in the Stratford College school calendar. This year's Social Action Week  begins on the 20th November. This year to mark it we have three events organised.

The Stratford College Choir are visiting a retirement home to sing to those who stay there. The Transition Year students are taking part in a sponsored sleepover in aid of Focus Ireland. The Student Council have organised a food drive in both Stratford Primary and Secondard schools, also in aid of Focus Ireland. Please send in any imperishable foods that you can and do your part for Mitzvah Day.

We hope it will be a success this year and become an annual event.
