The TY students organised a terrific Book Sale on Thursday, 6th March in aid of St. Michael's House and also to celebrate World Book Day. Svetlana Cvetic, TY student and Library Prefect, explains what had to be done. (Click on blog title to see more photos.)
"We unpacked everything from the many boxes of books that we had, into different genres on different tables. I then called each year, starting with 6th Year, in order of turn. It was really difficult to decide on the genre of a book. I thought selling three books for €2 was a good idea. We raised €120 for St. Michael's House which was great. At the same time there was a picture quiz all around the school, where students had to guess-the-teacher based on some of the magazines and books that they had read as a teenager."
