On Thursday, 3rd April, the TY students visited the Rosemary Smith Driving School in Co. Kildare to get first-hand experience of driving. Some of the TY students comment on their highlight of the day:
"Getting my hands on the wheel! I also had to get it into my head how to turn the steering wheel correctly. The least interesting part was watching the videos." Niall Halloran
"I learned about the theory and signs that driving instructors (and testers) are looking for." Stefan Cullinan
"It was harder than I anticipated, particularly holding the steering wheel correctly. I didn't realise that my dad was steering incorrectly!" Darren Hough
"It was really good. I had never driven before. I thought going around the corners was going to be really hard but it wasn't. " Emer Downes
"The trickiest thing was the theory test and the questions." Des Petkov
"The trickiest things were how to steer and when to use the accelerator and the clutch. I did enjoy it!" Jessica Nelkin
