The Gathering 2013The Irish Government has designated 2013 to be the year of the Gathering. This event it is hoped, will encourage the return, for a short time, of all those who have left Ireland’s shores as well as those descendants whose forefathers departed Ireland many generations ago. The Irish Jewish Community in association with the Irish Government, is now active in preparations for this unprecedented national event. We hope to offer a program of events over a 7- 10 day period that will explore and celebrate the richness of our Irish Jewish identity. Themes will include the Arts, Music, Literature, History, and Politics as well as the unique role that Jews have played in the history of Ireland and its culture.
