On Thursday, 5th March students and staff dressed up for Purim. The theme was "Careers". There were some brilliant ideas and all money raised went to Barnardo's. It also coincided with World Book Day which added an extra buzz around the school.

On Thursday the 5th of March, Student Council organised the annual Purim dress up day. This year the event was in aid of Barnardo's Children's Charity and the theme was Careers. So many amazing and inventive costumes were seen on the day with the best dressed awards going to Kara (6th Year), Alannah (3rd Year) and Alan (1st Year).  Approximately €273 was raised.

The day also tied in with World Book Day as Ms. O'Kelly and the TY's organised a book sale and library quiz. I also got to take part in my first ever reading flash mob. Overall the day was a great success and we are all very proud of the support we received from the entire school. Now, With all the preparation and anticipation over with, we can all start counting down the days till next Purim. For more photos, go to the 2014-15 Web Gallery.

The water activities were pier jumping, paddleboarding, swimming and bodyboarding, a favourite amongst the group. On land, we did Archery, climbing, human foosball, life-sized board games and lots of table tennis. After the activities we were all famished, our hunger was erased in an instant as the chefs there prepared delicious meals. Despite the mixed weather we still got into the water. We loved every second of it, but we also loved the hot showers afterwards! In our Irish class we expanded our vocabulary, learning new words for the activities we did, then wrote and performed scripts as Gaeilge that included the new vocabulary.
