Student Council organise and celebrate Culture Day 2025

Culture Day 2025, was a celebration of diversity and heritage where students and staff embraced other cultures and their own. On Wednesday 7th May, the Student Council and staff opened the hall's doors to workshops with students enjoying drumming workshops to celebrate 'Drum Beats from around the World' and Capoeira Dancing.

At lunch time, The Student Council presented platters of fruit from across the globe spanning Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe that they had prepared that morning. Flags, cultural songs and traditional costumes added to the colour and festive atmosphere. A concert led by Mr. Barrett, Principal ended the day where the whole school gathered to celebrate the culture and heritage of Indigenous Peoples through poetry readings, songs, dance, rapping and acrobatics in the hall. Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
