Stratford Student-Parent Charter: Findings from recent survey

Stratford Open Day Nov2019 043
NEWS / 27 March 2020

Over the last few years while developing our Student Parent Charter here at Stratford we have hosted discussions on proposed legislation and worked with our Parents Association to conduct a survey on school communications.

For 2020 we recently surveyed our Parents/Guardians, Staff and Students about their experiences in Stratford and would like to share some highlights with you:

Participants expressed complete satisfaction (100%) in the following areas:

  • There is a good atmosphere in the school
  • The core values of the school are being implemented well in day to day life
  • The school is welcoming of parents
  • Good quality information is given on student’s progress
  • Views of parents/guardians are sought on relevant school matters
  • The Code of Behaviour is implemented consistently and Students behaviour is generally good

Also ranking in the high percentiles (75%) and above is that students’ social and personal development is helped, students are treated fairly and respectfully in school, and that the school deals effectively and promptly with bullying. Good access to IT facilities was also highlighted.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. As with any survey, responses indicate some areas for improvement and this has been noted. We will keep in touch with you on this important Charter as it develops.
