I graduated from Stratford College in 2012. I earned a place in the BA Joint Honours course in University College Dublin studying Economics and French. I studied these two subjects for one and a half years until I was offered a place in the Single Major Degree in Economics. Currently, I am in my final year of Economics preparing to write my thesis later this year.
As I did in Stratford, I continue to play an active role in college life. I was a committee member of the UCD Literary and Historical Society (L&H), the largest debating society in Ireland during the 2013/2014 academic year. At present, I am applying for a Masters Degree and I am preparing for exams to earn a Diploma in Accounting and Business from CIMA in the summer of 2015.
At this point in my life I cannot help but feel nostalgic and look back fondly on how far I have come. My years in Stratford were influential. Without a doubt, they have moulded me into the person I am today.
I have many wonderful memories like playing Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’, being a senior prefect on Student Council and partaking in student activities. This has given me the confidence and the ambition to help me pursue and achieve my life goals. Stratford is not just a Secondary School, it is a community and a sense of belonging that I will always hold dear for many years into the future.
