Tomas Hennessy (2nd Year) describes how well the U16 Boys Football tournament went for Stratford College against O'Connell Schools, on Friday, 18th November.
On Friday, 18th November, Stratford College played a football tournament against O'Connell's secondary school. When O'Connell Schools arrived they saw what they were up against. Ms. Finnegan split the team into two six-a-side teams. In Group 1, the captain was Sean McGuinness (TY) and in Group 2 it was Liam Hennessy (TY). Both teams did very well in the tournament - Sean McGuinness' team got to the finals. They displayed some very good shots but they could work on defending. In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
