Stratford College awarded Green Flag

Chair of the Green Schools Committee, Lucy Murphy (6th Year), is proud to announce that Stratford was recently awarded a Green Flag. There will be an official presentation of the Green Flag to the school, in Croke Park on Tuesday, 22nd May.

Green SchoolsAfter eight years of trying, Stratford College Green Schools Committee has finally been awarded the Green Flag. A Green Schools Committee Member will attend a presentation ceremony in Croke Park on Tuesday, 22nd May.

The school is delighted to have a symbol of our achievement. We were awarded the flag based on our efforts to reduce waste and implement practical recycling measures. The committee are looking forward to maintaining the high standard of work that has earned us this privilege.

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
