Thursday, 5th May was Stratford's Sports Day and it proved to be a terrific day for sports, fun and weather! Thanks to Ms Finnegan and all who helped to make it a most enjoyable day. Conor Doheny, TY student, describes his experience of the day.
Just recently we enjoyed our Sports Day (on Thursday, 5th May). On this day we had many activities. We had organised team events like basketball and football tournaments where each team had a mixture of students from every year - that made it a bit more competitive. We also had all the fun Sports Day events like the 3-legged race, tug-of-war and bouncy castle races. It went back to the competitive side of things when we finished off with the sprints. In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
