On Tuesday, 11th November 1st and 2nd Year students visited the Natural History Museum. Students also got an opportunity to put on Metaperceptual Helmets. Emma Smyth, Greg Brenner and Oonagh Delargy, 1st Year, explain a little further.

The 1st and 2nd year trip on Science Week was to the Dead Zoo. The Dead Zoo was very interesting. There was lots of different species of animals that I never knew existed. The helmets that let you see how an animal sees things. I found the helmets very heavy but very interesting. I really enjoyed my time in the Dead Zoo.

The Dead Zoo has many well preserved animals. In the main entrance there was a long shark. There was a lot of small insects and large animals. Upstairs there was an exhibition where you could see what various animals could see e.g horse, cat etc.

For science week first years and second years went to the Dead Zoo (Natural History Museum) and we got to try out special helmets that let you see life as a hammer head shark, chameleon, Cheshire Cat, a horse and a baby giraffe. It was a great day out.
