Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE Mission in Kosovo)
Intern, Analysis and Reporting Cell, Democratisation Department
Working between the head office of the OSCE Mission in Pristina, Kosovo, and regional field offices, my primary task is to assist in the development and implementation of projects designed to enhance democracy in this post-conflict nation. For example, I am currently working on drafting a project designed to augment freedom of speech in the local press and on a project aimed at increasing gender equality in the workplace in several of Kosovo's municipalities. Additional duties also include taking minutes at weekly Chiefs of Sections meetings and compiling the Daily Brief which is an overview of relevant daily occurrences throughout Kosovo.

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Vienna, Austria
Intern, International Narcotics Control Board
This position involved conducting research in both English and Spanish, drafting of reports and project proposals and speech writing for the Secretary and President of the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (INCB). For example, I drafted a report for the President of the INCB concerning the ramifications of Portugal’s decriminalisation of illicit narcotics for personal use in 2001. Duties also included editing and redrafting the Board’s annual report, composing press releases and ensuring that participating countries to the international conventions on narcotics were adhering to said framework from a compliance perspective.
