Recycling Ink Cartridges and PhonesGreen Schools have been busy in the last few weeks. We have launched our Jack and Jill Foundation recycling scheme which includes ink cartridges which go in the Red Box and phones in the Green Box. Both boxes are in the Hall. We would be grateful for your support in relation to the Ink cartridges and phone recycling  - they are big boxes so please feel free to bring in old ink cartridges and phones.

I was invited to represent Green Schools by Killian Mc Loughlin (Chairperson of the Student Council) at a recent meeting between Malahide Student Council and our Student Council. Tadgh Charles, Green Schools Chairperson was on an Art Trip at the time. Amongst other issues, we discussed the introduction of a chewing gum fine, trying to preserve energy around the school and the Holocaust Crocus Plants Scheme that we are currently working on.

Finally thanks to the Conor Allen (TY), Fearghal Kelleher (TY) and Peadar Charles (TY) who took part in the 2011 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition with their project, The Urban Revolution. They were talking to the Minister of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government John Gormlely, who hopes to visit Stratford College in relation to Green Schools.
