Green Schools - energy saving shutdown of computers implemented

Light bulbSince January 2014 the computers in the Computer Lab have been configured to automatically hibernate after 70 minutes if they have not been used. The computers use no energy  when they are in this hibernate mode and all a student or teacher has to do is move the mouse or press some keys on the keyboard to start it again. This is a great energy saving strategy and fits in with Green Schools' strategy for conserving energy around the school.
