Green Schools and Student Council investigating the possibility of a school compost bin

The Student Council and Green Schools have started investigations into the possibility of gettting a school compost bin. In early February, Student Council surveyed students for their ideas and feedback. Abi Grainger gives a Green Schools update.

Green Schools Stratford CollegeThe new Student Council has taken a huge interest in Green Schools and is looking into the idea of getting a compost bin for the school.

Green Schools has recently applied for the Green Flag and soon we will be getting an inspection. Mr. Conaghan has stepped into Ms. Donohoe's role as liaison officer while she is away. (Click on thumbnail to open an enlarged version of image.)

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
