On Wednesday, 15th February, the Green Schools Ambassadors - Senan and Oonagh Delargy - organised a talk for the whole school about the importance of keeping our 3000km coastline clean.

On Wednesday we had a visit from Brendan O'Kane from Clean Coasts. Clean Coasts is an organisation set up to help preserve our coastlines and to encourage people to not litter. He gave a talk to the whole school. In his talk he spoke about what Clean Coasts is, why it is important, the different events Clean Coasts organised around the year, and the impact that marine litter can have on our lives.  It was a very informative and interesting presentation which the whole school enjoyed and we really appreciate Brendan giving up his time to talk to us. This was part of the ambassador program myself and Senan are taking part in and we thank everyone for coming to the talk and we hope everyone enjoyed and learnt a lot from it.
