A group of Jewish students, with Rabbi Lent and Ms Caspi, visited London and Bournemouth over the weekend of 23rd - 26th February for a Shabbaton - a weekend of fun and inspiration. They climbed the 311 spiral step of the London Monument, went quad-biking and dry-skiing amongst many other activities. New friends were made.

A special weekend trip for Jewish students took place this past weekend.

Nine students travelled with Mrs Einat Caspi and Rabbi Zalman Lent for a day of touring in London, before joining up with two other Jewish youth groups in Bournemouth for a “Shabbaton,” a weekend of fun and inspiration.

Beginning with a whistle-stop tour of Tower Bridge with its vertigo-inducing glass floor, then the Tower of London with all its gory history and an exhausting climb up the 311 spiral steps of the London Monument, the group then headed to a kosher dinner in Golders Green and on to Bournemouth to meet the other groups. The weekend was filled with exciting trips, including Quad Biking and dry-skiing, and lots of opportunity for questions and discussion.

Although only a short trip, lots of new friends were made and we hope to see this as an annual feature for the future. For lots more photos see the 2016-2017 Gallery
