5th Year LCVP class visit Google HQ

5th Year LCVP trip to Google Photo: Ms Brouder
NEWS / 11 April 2016

5th Year LCVP student, Megan Harnett, writes about her experience of visiting Google's HQ in Dublin on Friday, 8th April, with her LCVP class.

On Friday, 8th April, my class and I went on a trip to Google for our LCVP project. We were greeted by our tour guide. The gave us a broad sense of worklife by showing us around and by presenting us a presentation.

Here we learnt who set up Google, when and the many quirks that makes Google unique. Google's Headquarters is beautifully designed, clearly with great detail. It's clear that the employees are extremely happy due to the management of employees. It seems that the employees can express themselves in many ways: there are whiteboards in every room (even on windows!) and post-its stuck in random places to create idea-generating with inspiring quotes on them.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed the trip and I would love to work there in the future.

Megan Harnett (5th Year)
