Carly Gresak (5th Year) goes into detail about how the 5th Year Jewish Studies students each made an Elijah Cup in time for Passover.

For one of our many Jewish Studies projects we were told to make Elijah's Cup for Passover this year. We had made these cups out of wine bottles and the Rabbi had brought in the right equipment to do this safely and efficitiently.

Firstly we cut the wine bottle in half and then used sand paper to smooth the top of the bottle down. Once the top of the glass was smooth and suitable to drink out of, we hand painted the glass with paints especially for this. At the end we had our wonderful cups for Passover.
